Sometimes, even with frequent exercise, men find that their pectoral muscles do not respond in the way they would like. For these men, pectoral implants can be an excellent option to mold and enhance their chests, contributing to a more defined muscle appearance.
Pectoral implants can benefit men who are not happy with their lack of muscle definition. Other patients seek the correction of a pectoral muscle that is underdeveloped due to a birth defect or physical trauma. Pectoral implants do not affect muscle function, so patients with implants can still exercise after surgery. Pectoral implants look and feel extraordinarily natural and have helped many men feel more confident and more masculine.
Before
After
During pectoral implant surgery, incisions are usually made in the crease of the armpit. A pocket is created under each pectoral muscle large enough to place the pectoral implants. Once the implants are placed, the symmetry is checked carefully and the final adjustments are made. The incision is closed with sutures and a compression garment is applied over the treated area.
